Summit III: Coaching & Living With a "Yes, and" Mindset Saturday, April 1, 2017
Have you noticed? So much of coaching is improvisation. Sure, there’s technique and structure, but when we’re at our best as coaches, we're in the moment. As with improv, we’re not thinking about what to say next, how to be funny or profound. We are accepting what is handed to us and following the energy with a constant focus on our “partner” so they can really shine.
Great coaching and improv have several other things in common: Co-creation, authenticity, deep listening, courage and humor.
Do you want to experience for yourself the fun, spontaneous and insightful co-creation of improv in the company of some of the best coaches in Seattle? If you just said yes, (and we hope you did), then it would be our honor to have you join us.
We also have a bonus. Based on the positive feedback from Summit II, we have built in time for another round of TEDx-style tales from a few coaches.
We hope you say “YES” to coming “AND” we know you will bring your full coaching presence, knowledge and hearts to share with us.

When Patty started training and developing spectacular men and women to be coaches in May 2008, she wasn't sure where this was going. What she did know was that she wanted to do two things.
First, she wanted to select, train and develop coaches in small batches: Coaches who would emerge as some of the best in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, coaches who would join her in raising the bar for this young/old profession--and who also longed to cultivate a depth of personal integrity and presence along with their coaching prowess. (Check.)
And second, she wanted to see if this unique tribe of like-minded allies and friends could grow together over time, creatively, optimistically and energetically. She knew from her early days of executive coaching that, when you're on your own, it can be extra hard to create work that delights people and allows you to do what you know you're called to do. Would these coaches connect, collaborate, challenge and support each other in the process--and have fun along the way?(Check.)
Now, as SeattleCoach approaches its tenth year, and as our numbers have topped 195, The "Cross-Cohort Summits" are held, just for our tribe, twice a year to help us with our soul-care in this wonderfully demanding work. Each Summit is lead by a team of volunteer co-conspirators. The purpose? Connection, collaboration, challenge, support--and fun (sound familiar?).
(Each Summit comes with 5 CCEUs)
