So after I remind them to breathe, I come alongside them to explore the details of their next possible and desirable steps: If a miracle happened that brought them more of what they want and less of what they don't, what would the evidence be?

Depending on what you want to measure, I use a wide variety of assessments. Since executive coaching is a strengths-based practice, I use this one as I get underway with a new individual or team:
The VIA Survey of Character. This will link you to a free, well-researched questionnaire that will help you to identify your integrated top five (of twenty-four) "Character Strengths". I ask all of my new clients to take it. It's part of a research project, you will be asked to register, but they won't spam you. Click on the "VIA Survey" button to begin. (No need to purchase a report unless you want to.) If you're working with me, I will ask you to keep a copy of your top five Character Strengths handy.
