I am a board certified internist practicing at Harborview Medical Center.  For most of the past 30 years I have served in medical leadership roles including Medical Director of Harborview and Director of Quality Metrics for UW Medicine for almost 17 years.  One of the most meaningful aspects that I experienced in this position was the opportunity to mentor and coach medical professionals in leadership development and communication. Many are now in leadership roles throughout UW Medicine and nationally.  I am currently appointed as the UW Medicine Physician Communication Excellence Coach under the auspices of the UW Medicine Chief Medical Officer’s office and am finalizing my preparation for ACC certification.
