Welcome to Module I "The Coaching Alliance: Process, Change and Key Skills"
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled." ―Plutarch "One pilgrim alone is merely a zealot, but two pilgrims together, that’s a pilgrimage." ―Leslie Higgins (Ted Lasso)
The password you've just entered is what we wish for you as you join the SeattleCoach Tribe:
Mastery: You are good at what you do because you love the craft. You continuously learn, improve, experiment and make your mark.
Purpose: It matters to you that you invest a chunk of your life in this way.
Freedom: The compensations of this work give you energy, joy and sufficient resources.
In the Cohort you're joining, there are three components to our process:
1. Our live sessions together (must be present to win) 2. Your peer coaching(we'll explain this in our first sessions--you'll like it) 3. Your independent study(following each session, we'll send you an R.P.R.P. email: Things to Review. Practice. Read. Prepare.
And before we meet for the first time, please listen to this five minutes from Patty . . .

As we go along, we will encourage you to find people with whom you can practice your coaching skills and presence. Their feedback will accelerate your learning. The clip to the right will help you to explain what they can expect in working specifically with a coach.

Your first coachees will be people who already know and trust you personally or by your reputation. The clip to the right will help you to introduce yourself as a coach, and to do it in a way that may connect to their current opportunities and challenges.

And if you are planning to start a practice and to begin charging for your sessions, it's a good idea during Module I to go to this page and to begin setting up the basic elements of a business. The clip to the right will help you to think about moving from general to specific.
